Kiwi Seed Oil
Like most fruit seed oils, Kiwifruit seed oil has high concentrations of essential fatty acids (notably alpha-linolenic/Omega 3 which the body is unable to produce) and is rich in Vitamins C and E making it a perfect ingredient for skin care. These ingredients are ultra-nourishing for the skin and help to keep it healthy by retaining moisture which will prevent dehydration. They also fight free radicals, repairing skin by reversing skin damage and reducing wrinkles and fine lines while also improving uneven skin tone and making skin stronger and more supple. Kiwifruit Seed Oil is thought to stimulate collagen synthesis which helps to improve elasticity and keeps skin looking firm, healthy and vibrant. Kiwi Seed Oil is readily absorbed by the skin, leaving no residue making it a great facial oil and suitable for treating sensitive, oily, acne-prone skin, psoriasis and eczema.
Hydration is the one of the keys to healthy, glowing skin and you can’t go past cucumber extract to help you with this. The cucumber is about 95% water so it is the perfect ingredient to help retain moisture and hydrate dull looking skin. It is a super food for the skin, also containing minerals (magnesium, manganese, potassium, silica) and Vitamin A, B, C, E and K which help heal acne, decrease swelling/puffiness, calm irritation, soothe sunburn and refresh and revitalise the skin. Amino acids are in there too, helping keep the skin looking young and healthy by reducing fine lines and wrinkles. Its antioxidant content contributes to its anti-ageing and cooling properties which act to also reduce inflammation, relieve redness and acne and reduce oiliness to help clogged pores. Its astringent properties cause skin cells to contract which acts to firm and tighten the skin and improve the appearance of large pores. Unlike a lot of other natural ingredients, the fragrant components of cucumber are gentle enough not to react with the skin making it suitable for sensitive skin types, around sensitive areas (eyes and lips) and after sun exposure.
